All plastic can be recycled. The issue is whether or not it is economically feasible to recycle particular types and grades of plastic.

ntrs recycles more types of plastic than other companies in the NT because we have identified specific markets for specific products. These products currently include the following:

  • Bulk bags
  • Shrink wrap
  • Bubble wrap
  • Bumper bars
  • Soft drink containers
  • Milk containers
  • PVC and Poly pipe
  • Takeaway containers
  • Plastic drums

  • The majority of plastic bottles are made from petroleum
  • Between 7-8% of fossil fuels is used to make plastics materials
  • A third of its volume is the amount of petroleum used to make one bottle
  • A plastic bottle takes over 700 years to decompose
